Why visit Pamushana?

Zimbabwe may have made headlines in a bad way, but there is a place that has been able to preserve the beauty and natural habitat in Zimbabwe, this is the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in Zimbabwe.

Pamushana Lodge is located in the 130 000 acre Malilangwe wildlife Reserve bordering the Gonarezhou National Park and is home to the Big 5, (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and leopard), but what makes your wildlife experience at Pamushana beautiful is the abundance of unique wildlife species.

The Rare roan antelope, sable and Cape hunting dog (Lycaon pictus), or painted wolf are found on the reserve surrounding Pamushana.  The Malilangwe Reserve is home to the Little 6! The common duiker, klipsringer, steenbok, oribi, Sharpe's grysbok and suni abound here.

Wild and untamed, this area holds one of the highest concentrations of black rhino in Africa.  Over and above the ever-fascinating early morning and afternoon game drives in open Land Cruisers with your private guide and tracker, there is a superb challenge for anglers in bass, catfish, bream (tilapia) and tiger fishing, using fly, lure or bait.
